Sincere thanks to ‘visiting angels’

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to North Tyneside Council and in particular the re-ablement support team and the adult care services.

Special thanks go to Yvonne, Rozz, Ann and their wonderful assistants who work so compassionately for the most needy in our community.

While visiting family over the Christmas holidays my mum fell and broke her arm.

Living alone and without assistance I was anxious that the potential for a full and speedy recovery was limited, inevitably frustrating and inherently risky.

Thankfully the team were there for my mother, Mrs Lilian Smith, in her time of need, encouraging her to acquire the new skills necessary to aid in her recovery, regain her independence and retain her quality of life.

The service provided was above and beyond our expectations and I feel blessed and humbled that my mother was the fortunate recipient of such sincere kindness, support and compassion from those ‘visiting angels’.

Thanks also to family and friends for all their help and the doctors and staff at Rake Lane Hospital.
