A panel chaired by North East Chamber of Commerce chief executive James Ramsbotham will discuss the role of the region in the Northern Powerhouse. Other panellists include Tom Warburton, investment and development director at Newcastle City Council.

Chris Hearld, regional chairman of auditor KPMG will be on the panel too.

Speakers booked to attend include Anna Round, a senior research fellow at the Institute of Public Policy Research; Mauricio Armellini, regional agent for the Bank of England; Ralph Luck, formerly property director for the Olympic Delivery Commission; and the institution’s chief economist, Simon Rubinsohn.

Summit chairman David Furniss, head of office at BNP Paribas Real Estate in Newcastle, said: “With the Government committed to the most fundamental shake-up of the way the country is governed in a generation, the practical implications of such extensive reform, and associated regeneration and development projects, are an emerging concern for our region’s property professionals.

“Those involved in any area of land, property and construction, and interested in the region’s future regeneration, will find the summit particularly insightful and useful.”

Tickets to attend the full-day summit, on from 8.30am to 4.30pm, are £135 for institution members and £182 for non-members.
