Spring cleaned planned for Whitley Bay nature reserve

Volunteers are being invited to join an environmental blitz.

North Tyneside Council is asking people to join an organised litter pick at Marden Quarry nature reserve, Whitley Bay, on Saturday from 11am to 2pm in support of the Great British Spring Clean.

Craig Thompson, Park Warden at Marden Quarry said: “The Great British Spring Clean is about everyone working together to clean up the litter that blights our landscape and communities and we’re delighted to be taking part and bringing people together to tackle an issue that many people care passionately about.”

All equipment will be provided on the day, but registration is essential.
