A Whitley Bay care home has performed strongly in a nationwide survey of residents.
Earsdon Grange care home was given an overall performance rating of 876, out of 1,000 – just beating the national average of 872.
The Your Care Rating survey is the largest survey of care home residents, with homes being rated on staff and care; home comforts; choice and having a say; and quality of life.
Earsdon Grange scored 894 for quality of life and 883 for staff and care.
Care manager Nicola Bell, said: “It’s great that our residents value the care they receive at Earsdon Grange.
“Our scores across the four themes are really positive, which shows that life for our residents is happy and fulfilling. While we’re really pleased with our scores, we obviously want to get even better and the survey helps us do that by giving direct resident feedback.
“Families can also see at a glance which care homes are committed to raising standards.”
Earsdon Grange care home provides residential and dementia care for the elderly and is owned by care providers Countrywide Care Homes.
