ingenie gives its drivers a score out of 100 based on their speed, acceleration, braking and cornering, with those scoring well getting an insurance discount up to 21 per cent.
Stephanie, 18, said: “ingenie has made sure I drive safely because I want to get a driving score of 100/100.
“By checking the online feedback I can be aware of any shortfalls in my driving and quickly rectify these.”
Chris McKee, CEO of ingenie, said: “We’re always on the side of young drivers so it’s great that we can look into our data and show that young drivers are in fact safe drivers, contrary to popular belief.
“It’s great that we can name Stephanie as the safest driver in north east, it’s a brilliant achievement and she’s clearly worked hard to be a safe driver.”
