Staff and students have joined forces to raise money towards a trip to Thailand.
TyneMet students Kris Harrison, Amy Kortenbach, Hannah Duffield, Chloe Coyle, and Paula Cramman and staff Emma Williams, Duncan Thielmann and Matty Leadbeatter took part in a 15km run to raise funds towards the trip in July.
The trip, organised by World Challenge, will cost the students £ 1,699 each.
So far they have raised £500.
Sam Haley, director of learner services at TyneMet, Wallsend, said: “Educational expeditions gives the students a fantastic experience which wil develop their personal and social skills, enhance their cultural awareness, expand their geographical knowledge and give them memories they will never forget.”
