A group of travel and tourism students have designed a ‘Children’s Rep’ event at a borough adventure playgroup.
As part of their course, eight students studying on the level 3 extended diploma in travel and tourism at TyneMet College had to plan and deliver the event at Shiremoor Adventure Playgroup.
The students organised a mini sports day, pizza making and arts and crafts activities.
Travel and tourism teacher at TyneMet, Michelle Harrison, said: “The eight students who took part in the planning and delivery of this session worked very well as a team.
“They listened carefully to what the children had said they would like to happen and made sure that the session was educational as well as being full of fun.
“The children enjoyed the event and I think the students had a good time too.”
