Talk to be given about North Tyneside refugee project

A talk about the Walking With In North Tyneside group, set up in 2001 to offer support to asylum seekers and other refugees, will be held at St Mary’s Church Hall in Cullercoats on Tuesday.

The event, including a question-and-answer session, is being organised by the Catholic church’s justice and peace group.

The talk, by the Wallsend-based project’s manager, Carol Parkins, will start at 7pm.

A collection of food, clothing and other items will be taken at the talk, and donations, to go towards the project’s running costs, will be wecomed too.

All are invited.
