Teen robbed and attacked in North Tyneside

Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was robbed in North Tyneside.

The robbery happened between 10.55pm and 11.05pm on Friday, August 7, when the victim, a 16-year-old male, was in Russell Street at the junction with Bedford Street in North Shields when he was attacked.

The offender stole a mobile phone and watch from him.

The 16-year-old suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
