A talking therapy service in North Tyneside is among the most accessible in the region for patients according to the latest published figures.
NHS England’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies report published in September shows the proportion of people entering treatment is the second best in the region for meeting the local demand for the service.
The North Tyneside Talking Therapies service, delivered by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, provides psychological assessment and treatment in community locations to adults living in North Tyneside who are suffering from common mental health problems.
Talking therapies clinical lead Isabelle Roney said: “Talking therapies are a valuable opportunity for people to talk through issues that are important to them and explore how they can be addressed.”
