There are a lot of good people out there

Now that I can write again, I would like to thank all the people who helped when I fell in Battle Hill Drive and lacerated my right hand.

The two men who stayed with me and called an ambulance, my friend Ann, who turned up just when I needed her, the ambulance man who was so kind, and ambulance lady who managed to get two rings off my hand and saved them from being cut off, cleaned them and put them in my purse.

The staff at Rake Lane A&E and Ward 24, the plastic surgeon, theatre staff and Ward 39 at the RVI, my friends who sent me cards and flowers, and finally my neighbours at Hadrian Park, who have kept an eye on me.

There are a lot of good, kind people out there.
