Three arrested after assault outside amusements

Police investigating an assault in North Tyneside have arrested three youths.

The incident happened on Nile Street in Wallsend outside Noble Amusements in the early minutes of Saturday, July 9 at 00.25am.

A 43 year-old man was assaulted by several males and he fell to the ground. His assailants made off.

The man was taken to hospital.

Following inquiries, three teenage boys, two aged 16 and one aged 17, have been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.
