The party starts at Percy Park RFC on Saturday, April 29 from noon, with three world-class tribute acts and five local support bands providing the warm up.

Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals and organiser of Tynemouth Fake Festival, is delighted to be bringing the tour back to Percy Park.

“Last year’s tenth anniversary celebrations were a real highlight to mark the growth of the festivals over the past decade and the Tynemouth weekend was so warmly welcomed by the community,” he said.

“The 2017 event will see world-class tributes to the legendary David Bowie, Guns & Roses and the Arctic Monkeys hit the stage inside the Fake Festivals marquee, along with five talented local support bands. There will be the main bar inside the marquee as usual, and a variety of food and entertainment stalls in the outside arena.”

Jez added: “We are very proud to be the UK’s only touring tribute festival, supporting some of the UK’s best tribute acts and local home-grown talent.”
