A group of teenagers have completed terrorism and critical incident training.
The Teen Police Cadets took part in the training, which involved a staged critical incident at Tynemouth Fire Station.
During the day they learned about chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear attacks and how Northumbria Police, North Tyneside Fire Service and the North East Ambulance Service are trained to respond.
Pc Paul McKenzie, police cadet leader for North Tyneside, said: “The cadets were also given the opportunity to put their learning into practice during a staged incident within the fire station grounds.
“Although a busy and challenging day, the cadets showed great passion and aptitude in organising themselves and responding to the task at hand and should be very proud of themselves.”
