Travel agents soar into UK’s top 50

A North Tyneside woman has helped to steer a travel agency to new heights.

Thomas Cook Metrocentre has been selected as the Top Travel Agency in the north east and in the top 50 across the UK and Ireland by industry publication the Travel Trade Gazette.

Store manager Sandra Foreman, of Whitley Bay, was delighted to have made the top 50 after more than 900 travel agencies and branches were put forward for consideration.

Judges said of Thomas Cook Metrocentre Green Mall Store: “We were impressed by the passion and energy of this team, who combine cutting-edge technology with traditional personal service to communicate with and care for their customers. And it’s a combination that clearly works, as demonstrated by exceptional customer feedback.”

Sandra said: “We are all incredibly proud to be named Top Travel Agency in the north east and receive this award, this is such a huge achievement.

“I work with an amazing team of experts who have extensive travel experience and the use of the latest technology to share with our customers.
