Nearly £20,000 has been raised for two charities thanks to the work of a home builder.
Barratt Homes North East organised a range of fundraising activities throughout 2016.
And staff raised more than £19,000 which has been split between Marie Curie North East and Tiny Lives.
Marie Curie North East provides support for people living with a terminal illness while Tiny Lives supports premature and sick newborn babies and their families on the Neonatal Unit at the RVI Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Fenton Hewitt, sales director at Barratt Homes North East, said: “Both of these charities do great work in the area and we are proud to show our support to such worthy causes.
“We’re overwhelmed with the amount that has been raised and would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff, family, friends and community members who have helped us beat this year’s target.
“We know that these funds will go a long way in supporting the amazing work that these charities are doing in our region.”
