Northumberland came to a standstill this morning as people viewed the solar eclipse.
An eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth.
Today, for those lucky enough to see the spectacle through the cloud, more than 90 percent of the sun’s light was blocked during the event, which happened at about 9.30am.
