The Vikings started the brighter of the two sides and dominated in the forwards, which allowed their pacey back line to attack from all over the pitch.

Tries came from man of the match Alex Hayton, Charlie Muzzlewhite and a brace from Rob Straker.

Fly-half Chris Forster added a further seven points with his trusted right boot, taking Rockcliff into an unassailable 27-point lead as the game drew to a close.

Percy Park never gave up and were rewarded with two late tries, making the scoreline more respectable.

However, due to Rockcliff’s dominance and lethal finishing, it was always going to be too little too late.

The Vikings face Alnwick Lions or Morpeth Edwardians in the semi-final.
