Wallsend judo club students attain grading promotion

Students from Wallsend's Bushido Judo Club took part in a grading examination in Morpeth recently.

The following students all gained promotion: Kadi Henderson to 4th kyu ni, Jack Barnett to 3rd kyu ichi, Adam Bamford to 4th kyu san, Lewis Andrews to 5th kyu and Jake Hodgesson 5th kyu ichi.

Jessica Cairns, who joined the club in February 2007, reached the highest possible grade a junior can attain and was promoted to 3rd kyu san (black).

There were also judoka from the Morpeth and Cramlington areas taking part in the All England Judo Federation Northern Regional Grading event.
