Hundreds of people took part in the pageant at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival yesterday as the fun continues today.
Schools, local dance and community groups, bands and choirs embraced the Diverse Musical Cultures of Britain theme.
Music from around the world and colourful costumes created a vibrant and fun parade for all to enjoy at the Tynemouth event.
A packed programme of events and activities are taking place again in the village today as part of the two-day festival.
A musical showpiece will be taking place on stage at Tynemouth Priory and Castle featuring Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, The Christians and Olivia Devine, all kicking off with Motion of Youth at 12.15pm.
Once again, jazz music will be played in Front Street as well as a host of street entertainers and performers.
Family fun is also taking place inside Tynemouth Station, including music and an aerial performance.
