Two Limbed Doll

Indie rockers Two Limbed Doll will be the main act on stage at the city’s O2 Academy 2 on Friday, March 11.

Starting as a band while they were still at school, the melodic rock act have since gone from strength to strength, and despite now living as far afield as London and Scotland, they still find time to come back to the north east to play.

Influenced by bands spanning genres and decades, from the Beatles to Belle and Sebastian the band are made up of between five and eight members, depending on who is available when they have gigs lined up.

Between them, they sing and play guitar, bass, trombone, trumpet, drums and saxophone.

They have been performing together since 2007 and are looking forward to performing at the Westgate Road venue.

Band member Domenic Johnson said: “We are really looking forward to the gig.

“We don’t get the chance to gig as much as we would like because we are so spread out, so it’s nice to do it when we get the chance.”

They will be supported by Spitfire Hostels, Supertunes and Grayce.

Tickets for the event are £7.05. For further details, go to www.academymusicgroup.com/o2academynewcastle
