Witness appeal after collision in North Tyneside

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision earlier this month.

At around 7.40am on Wednesday, June 6, the Northumbria force received a report of a collision between a car and an cyclist at a roundabout on Weetslade Road, joining with the B1321 in Dudley.

Emergency services attended and the male cyclist was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the BMW was spoken to at the scene, but was uninjured.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact police.

Any witnesses, especially those who might have dash cam footage of the collision, are being asked to call 101 – quoting log 170 of 06/06/18.
