The sounds of the Foo Fighters, Oasis and the Killers will fill Tynemouth this weekend as the Fake Festival comes to town.
As part of a tenth anniversary tour, the Fake Festival marquees will once again be up at Percy Park RFC on Saturday, bringing world class tribute acts to the stage.
Oasish, The Fillers and Four Fighters have been described as the best tribute acts in their field. They not only sound like the real thing, but also look like the bands to present an accurate stage show of the real thing.
Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals, has spent years finding the best tributes, and luckily they are all based in the UK.
“It’s a very proud thing to be able to say that the best tributes to Oasis, The Killers and Foo Fighters are found in the UK,” he said.
Paul Higginson, frontman of Oasish said: “We use the same backline as Oasis, and ‘Noel’ uses the same guitars as the real Noel to bring the true Oasis sound back to life on stage.”
Events kick off at 12.30pm.
Tickets cost £20 adult, £11 for 10 to 17-year-olds and £51 family. Children nine and under go free. Book online at www.fakefestivals.co.uk or from Priory News and Percy Park Rugby Club.
