Tickets have gone on sale for a popular youth festival.
The Event @ Segedunum, showcases the best of North Tyneside young musicians with 11 bands or solo acts selected to perform – and the winner on the day securing a slot on stage at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival.
Only 1,000 wristbands have been released for the festival, which takes place on Saturday, July 2, from noon to 5pm, in the historic grounds of Wallsend’s Segedunum Roman Fort.
The event has been orchestrated by North Tyneside’s Young Mayor Kieran Archer and North Tyneside Council, in partnership with Tyne and Wear Museums and Archives.
Young Mayor Kieran said: “I am confident that this year’s event will showcase the borough’s finest performers. My congratulations go to those who are taking part for helping to forge our identity as a cultured and talented people.”
On the day, there will also be a rodeo sheep, high striker and cage football, at no extra cost. There will be a photo booth, too, for which there will be a small charge.
Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day.

The line-up is: Motion of Youth, Out of Time, Perspective, Stray Lights, Brianna Hope, Daisy Cavet, Dillon Blevins, None of the Above, Amonik Melaco, Brook Miller, Lucie and Tasha, and Two White Tees.
