Officials behind a trampoline park are jumping for joy as it nears its opening date.
A white dome has appeared near Royal Quays Outlet Park in North Shields, which will house the ground-breaking new trampoline centre Xtreme Bounce.
The £1million development will see the 26,000sq ft air-locked dome combine state-of-the-art play facilities with a café, restaurant and party rooms.
It is due to open this Spring and will create around 100 new jobs.
The concept is born from Bounce Revolution launched in Derby in 2016, bridging the gap between age ranges and audiences with a flexible, multi-use layout.
Xtreme Bounce’s range of zones allow for a spread of activities for every group, from toddler and kids sessions to corporate groups, birthdays and over-18s party events.
Activities will include trampoline arena, Ninja warrior, Segway slalom, slam dunk, soft play castle, battle beam and a unique virtual reality experience
Alongside the play and sports areas, there will be a café, restaurant and party rooms for every type of occasion.
Xtreme Bounce director, Jason Jennings said: “After speaking to Peter Everest, managing director of WD LTD that owns Royal Quays Outlet Centre, and the team at Royal Quays, it was an easy decision deciding where we would put our first arena. We loved the area and the energy of the people, so it was a no-brainer.
“Royal Quays is the perfect partner for us and we can’t wait to get the doors open.”
