Children at a North Shields school have been given an early insight into the world of work.
A number of major employers spent two days at Whitehouse Primary School as part of the school’s ‘Aspirations Week’.
The companies brought in apprentices and put on workshops to help the pupils think about what they want to do when they grow up.
Headteacher Rachel Woods thanked the companies who visited, adding: “The feedback has been very positive and we now have a host of aspiring scientists, bankers and archaeologists.”
Among those who took part were P&G, Barclays, Tesco Bank, CMR and Tyne and Wear Museums.
