Youngsters are being encouraged to enter a writing competition organised by Act 2 Cam.

Young writers are being invited to enter a competition which could see their idea turned into a feature film.

North Tyneside film company ACT 2 CAM is accepting pitches for a 60-minute feature film, which will be performed by a cast of actors aged 11 to 16.

The winner will develop their idea into a screenplay with the writing team. The winner’s school will get £500.

The film is set to premiere at the ODEON Silverlink, before being released onto DVD.

ACT 2 CAM’s Stephen Woods said: “There are hundreds of talented young writers just waiting to be discovered. We want to give them the opportunity to develop new skills and see their work on the big screen.”
