Youngsters offered experience of lifetime

YOUNG people in North Tyneside are being offered an unique opportunity to be the first to take part in a brand new programme of activities this autumn.

Experience of a Lifetime gives young people in Year 12, or equivalent, the opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people, make a difference to the community of North Tyneside, be challenged and have fun.

The programme, part of the Government’s National Citizen Service initiative, is being delivered for the first time ever in the North East by VODA, and is completely free to young people.

The project involves a five day outward bound residential during the October half term week, followed by six consecutive Saturdays where young people will be supported to plan and deliver their own community project. At the end of the project the young people will be invited to a Graduation event to showcase and celebrate their achievements.

Young people keen to take part in the Experience of a Lifetime project should contact Robin Fry at VODA on 0191 643 2634 or apply online
