Café would be blot on the landscape

I must say that I agree entirely with the remarks made in C Dickie’s letter in the News Guardian on June 4.

As soon as I saw the pictures of the proposed St Mary’s café, I thought, how out of place it would look on the headland.

How something like this can obtain planning permission, I do not know.

Something low-level and unobtrusive surely would be the way to go instead of this monstrosity.

Perhaps Prince Charles should be informed that yet another carbuncle is to be inflicted on the British landscape.
