I read about a care attendant having served 25 years in Holme Lea Care Home, (News Guardian, February 23).
My mother was a resident there and died on February 19.
I want to praise all the girls who work there for the loving care she received. If she was distressed, they comforted her, if she was confused, they stayed with her and calmed her.
The rooms are like home, no smell, all beautiful and clean, the food excellent, and there was always something going on to keep residents’ minds active.
My mother was in two other homes before her stay at this one and these left a lot to be desired so I can make a comparison.
This home is fantastic and all the staff, from cooks to cleaners, deserve the highest of praise.
If anyone is looking for a good care home, I believe you won’t find one better.
Thank you girls for all your wonderful care.
