I oppose repeal of control order laws

I FIND it totally inexplicable that this Conservative led Coalition government should want to repeal or water down the current control order laws in respect of suspected terrorists, especially whilst we are on the current high state of alert.

Their prime motivation appears to be to appease their Lib Dem partners, and the ‘bleeding-heart’ civil liberties lobby, whilst ignoring advice of the security services at the sharp end of the campaign against terror.

They forget that the most important human right of all is for ordinary innocent people to be able to go about their lawful occasions, without the constant fear of being blown up, killed or injured.

It may sound strange to those of the ‘politically correct tendency’, but I was brought up to believe that it was the prime responsibility of any national government to take responsibility for the security of its law abiding citizens.
