The third Adult Social Badminton Tournament organised by North Tyneside Badminton Partnership proved to be another great success.

Fifty eight players from all over the north east turned up to Hadrian Leisure Centre in Wallsend for an afternoon of friendly competition.

League and county players were not allowed to enter the tournament, which was aimed at the more casual, social player.

All matches were initially played in groups so that everyone got plenty of games. The group winners progressed to semi-finals and finals.

It was really good to see players of all ages and from different groups or casual sessions in the finals

The winners and runners-up all received prizes.

Members of the North Tyneside Badminton Partnership (which works hard to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to play badminton) came along to help make the afternoon run so smoothly. More information about the partnership and badminton opportunities in North Tyneside can be found on the Facebook page
