Lindisfarne Custom Planet Reserves won for the fifth time in seven games to move off the bottom of the Tyneside Amateur League table.
They beat Bedlington Juniors by the odd goal in seven, with Adam Gourley, Brett Paolozzi, Liam Shanley and Chris Conway on target. In reply, Darren Percy bagged a brace and Andy McLennan added Bedlington’s third.
Their place was taken by Newcastle Medicals, who went down 3-0 at home to Ponteland United Reserves. Dan Troughton, Daniel Mpungu and John McAdam netted for Ponteland.
The top two both won, Hazlerigg Victory seeing off ten-man Stobswood Welfare 6-2. Stobswood shocked their hosts by taking the lead through Macaulay Mason, before Dale Pearson, Sean McRoberts, Louis Sneddon, Alex Patterson and Richard Coulson put Victory 5-1 to the good. A Jacob Baker penalty reduced the arrears before the break, but Dale Pearson added his second and Hazlerigg’s sixth in the second half.
Gosforth Bohemian Reserves won 4-1 at Forest Hall YPC, with goals from Colin McLaughlin, Kevin Turnbull, Andy Thompson and an own goal. Aaron Lyons netted for Forest Hall.
North Shields Athletic Reserves returned to winning ways with a 3-0 success over Blyth Town Reserves. Leeroy Odd, Jonathan Tait and Alex Hline scored the goals for Athletic, who move up to sixth in the table.
Ryton and Crawcrook Albion Reserves claimed their sixth win in the last eight games by a 3-2 scoreline against Newcastle East End. A goal from Steven Cain and a pair from Ryan Lowes gave them the points, despite counters from Harry Johnson and Scott Parker.
