Ashington Station Lounge lose Minor Cup semi-final

Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League's Ashington Station Lounge their NFA Minor Cup semi-final 4-0 against Wallsend Rising Sun.

In the quarter-final of the George Davison Cup, holders Buarradon and New Fordley eased their way into the semi-final with a win 7-1 at home against Bedlington Social Club. Joe Moscrop scored for Bedlington while Lee Waugh (3), Danny Sayer, Sean McRoberts, Steve Howes and Ian Lee were on target for Burradon.

In the quarter-final of the Eric Anderson Cup, Whitehouse Ashington and Guide Post Social Club went through two hours of football without a goal being scored. So it went to penalties, with Guide Post going through 6-5.

In division one, High Street beat visitors Ashington Sporting Club 4-1 with goals from Chris Laidlaw (2), James Ridley and Anthony Marshall. Jordan Anderson scored for Sporting Club.
