Bay Blacks give East End blues

A PROVERBIAL game of two halves saw Whitley Bay Boys Club Under-10 Blacks stroll into a 5-0 half-time lead against Newcastle East End Blues

With fluent attacking football and a tight defensive unit of Wills and Dunn, man of the match Owen Kennedy grabbed two goals whilst Diamond, Maddison and Perry also found the target.

In the second half the Blues threw caution to the wind and attacked in numbers and pulled three goals back, with Smith in goal pulling off a number of stunning saves to keep the Blacks ahead.

A solitary second half goal from Diamond was enough to keep the Blacks just out of reach and a delivered a victory that their first half dominance richly deserved.
