Whitley Bay take on league leaders Shildon at Hillheads on Saturday hoping to maintain their excellent home form and take the scalp of another leading side.
During a six-match winning sequence in league games at Hillheads, Whitley have defeated top five sides Spennymoor and Ashington and having already held Shildon at their Dean Street ground, a Paul Chow penalty earning a 1-1 draw back on October.
They will be hopeful of continuing their good form against the table topping side who include former Bay midfielder Lee Paul Scroggins in their ranks.
On Wednesday, January 22, Whitley travel to Teesside to take on Billingham Synthonia and they will be hoping to improve what is a disappointing away record.
But it will not be an easy task as although the Synners are currently just below Whitley in the league table, there are few points separating the mid-table sides and a close game can be expected.
