Whitley Bay Boys Club Under-10 Blacks completed their league programme with a 5-0 win at home against high-flying Wideopen.
From the first whistle the Blacks put Wideopen under pressure, and a number of good chances went begging before Maddison opened the scoring with a powerful strike from the corner of the box.
Rawlinson and Armstrong were combining well in midfield but a second goal was not forthcoming before half-time.
Blacks raised their game in the second half and Diamond added two before Kennedy scored the goal of the game with a volley over his shoulder.
Perry put the icing on the cake with a trademark left foot drive.
At the back, Wills and Dunn continued their strong defensive partnership and Smith in goal handled with confidence throughout.
This took the Blacks’ unbeaten run to ten and a well deserved top five finish.
