Blacks’ six in second half

WHITLEY Bay Boys Club Under-10 Blacks took a break from the league campaign with a first round divisional cup tie.

The Blacks started strongly but struggled to create chances against a well organised defence.

They eventually took the lead midway through the first half when a goal bound Diamond effort was deflected past the visiting keeper.

Coulson doubled the score before the Falcons pulled a goal back from a corner to make it 2-1 at half-time.

The Blacks came out for the second half firing on all cylinders and scored six goals through Rawlinson (2), Perry, Tatum, Johnston and a second for Diamond.

Wills was dominant at the back, easily dealing with anything the Falcons threw at him whilst Smith in goal was largely untested.
