Scoring for the hosts was Andrew Howe.
But on target for the league champions were Michael Chilton (2), Cameron Patrick and Graham Cairns.
Division one saw a rare defeat for league champions The Albert.
They went down 2-0 to High Street thanks to goals from Alan Fairbairn and Anthony Goldie.
Meanwhile Milbourne Arms were always on the wrong end of a heavy defeat.
The division’s form team Monkseaton Arms beat Milbourne 4-0.
On target for the Monkseaton side was Mark Allen and Antony Brannon with two each.
The only game in division two was an Ashington derby between the White House and Fox Cover.
White House, who are safe in fourth position, went down 3-0 with Fox Cover goals from Dean Mason, Steven Gardener and Kris Allington.
