Callum signs a new deal
Whitley Bay are delighted to announce that Callum Anderson has agreed an extension to his contract which will keep him at Hillheads until 2022.
Manager Nathan Haslam sees Anderson as a key member of his squad and was very pleased to secure his services for at least another two years.
A well established fans favourite, Anderson has been at Hillheads for more than ten years and at the age of 29 has already made 359 appearances for the club.
He said: “On a personal level, I’m really enjoying my football and it’s a club I hold close to my heart;
“Naturally I’m very happy to have signed a contract for the next two and a half years.”
Manager Haslam commented: “Callum is a huge part of my future plans. He’s led by example in his performances and his application this season has been exceptional.”
Following the postponement of Saturday’s game at Whickham due to a waterlogged pitch, the game has been rearranged for Wednesday, April 1.
The Reserves’ game away to Alnwick Town was also postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Their March fixtures have been released and appear on the ‘Teams’ section of the club website.
This weekend (February 22) Whitley Bay are home to Newton Aycliffe in the Northern League.
Whilst Whitley Bay are currently sitting 14th in the Division 1 table on 28 points, having taken only one point from the last five games, their opponents are seventh on 46 points, with three wins and a loss in their last four.
The Reserves are away to Seaton Delaval in the Northern Alliance.
