Cullercoats U13s beat Wallsend to win cup tie

Cullercoats U13s entertained Wallsend in the cup on Saturday, and despite have a depleted squad they ran out 4-1 winners.

The home side dominated the game with Leighton Alexander hitting a hat-trick and Michael Barnes adding the other.

Jack Reid was named man of the match after a powerful midfield display.

Meanwhile Cullercoats Girls U13s continued their excellent form with a comprehensive home win against Heaton Hawks on Saturday.

After an emotional minute’s silence and applause in memory of Olly Bilcliffe, during which the girls released balloons, they made all the early running.

Chloe Mackenzie starred in the first half with four superb goals as Cullercoats dominated.

Mia Wallace added a fifth after the break, but it was Mackenzie who picked up the player of the game award for her outstanding performance in front of goal.
