Cullercoats U12s made the short trip to near neighbours Tynemouth on Saturday and came away with a 5-1 win.
The game proved to be a great encounter, with some good end to end football from both teams.
The first half started well with Ernie Noble scoring two quick goals for Cullercoats, and there were numerous other chances with Archie Noble blasting one against the post.
Tynemouth pulled a goal back towards the end of the half to make the score 2-1 at the break.
In the second half both teams pushed forward, but it was Cullercoats who increased their lead. Ernie Noble was fouled outside the box and Archie Noble struck the free kick into the corner of the net for the third.
Cullercoats extended their lead through Niall Boothroyd, who tapped in from the rebound.
Johnny Worrall was then put through for him to smash a shot into the top of the net to make the final score 5-1 to Cullercoats.
Ernie Noble and Boothroyd shared the man of the match award.
