Tynemouth United FC Girls team played their first game after taking three years to get established.
The girls entered their first competitive tournament at Newcastle East End as part of the Sir Bobby Robson National Football Day celebrations.
The girls competed strongly in all their games and although they did not manage a win they made their coaches and parents very proud.
Coaches said they played some lovely football but just lacked a cutting edge in the final third of the field. The girls were awarded medals for competing in the event to commemorate Sir Bobby Robson.
There is still a few spaces available in the squad for the upcoming season. Anyone interested should contact Micky Plane on 07521 714898.
