High Street come from five down to beat Whitehouse Ashington

The Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League side won 4-1 at Blakelaw Social 4-1​ with Josh Hay ​(3) and Brent Asibitt ​on target.

Ashington RAOB failed to make it an all Blyth league final as they went down ​2-0 at ​Cramlington and District League side ​Burradon and New Fordley​. The final is April 29 at Whitley Park.

Bedlington Market Tavern reached the final of the SA Randolph Cup with a 3-0 home win against Newsham Victory​ thanks to goal from ​Ryan Stafford, Jonny Barrett and Daniel Dargue.​ They will play Amble Tavern in the final in four weeks time.

In the Eric Anderson ​Cup ​quarter​-​finals​,​ Ashington Station Lounge ​beat Blyth Town Sunday​ 5-4 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 after extra-time, following goals from John Leonard for Lounge ​and Martyn Hepple for Blyth​.

North Shields Pineapple​‘s​ home game against Bedlington Breakers was ​postponed again and will now be played ​this weekend.​ ​Ellington Plough​‘s tie with​ Earsdon Red Lion ​was also off.

In the premier division, Bedlington Social Club won ​4-2 at Ashington Town Central​. On target for Central were James Convery and Scott Neal.​ For Social Club, Joe Moscrop​ (2​), Adam Harvey and Craig Webb ​were the scorers.

​In d​ivision one​, Marden Residents ​won 10-0 at bottom club Guide​ P​ost Shakespeare Tavern​ with goals from ​Chris Ridgeway​ (3), ​Phil McFarlan​e (3), Marc Hunter, Keir Cooper, Richard Thompson and Josh More.

High Street ​came from 5-1 down to beat Whitehouse Ashington​ 6-5 with goals from Anthony Goldie ​(3), Adam Emmerson, Chris Laidlaw and Brandan Nadeem. ​For Whitehouse, ​Michael Freathy ​(3), Michael Angus and Jordan Lashley​ found the back of the net.

Ashington Sporting Club and Bebside Inn shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Robert Watt and Mark Mabon scored for Sporting Club. Martin Kelly and Nick Bell for Bebside.
