Manager disappointed at loss
Whitley Bay manager Nathan Haslam said he was ‘disappointed’ after Saturday’s 4-3 defeat at Ryhope CW.
“Obviously I am disappointed,” he said. ”We gave ourselves a mountain to climb going 2-0 down after seven minutes. They were two very cheap goals which were defensive mistakes. We’ve done really well to come back in the game at 2-2 and we could have even been ahead at half time.
“For the second half the message was to be tight, but we went 3-2 down from ma corner and at 4-2 the game was put to bed.
“You shouldn’t go away from home, score three goals and lose a game of football.
“So in short I’m very disappointed, it’s purely down to not being good enough defensively.”
