Gosforth Bohemian Reserves continued their great form with a 4-0 win at Stobswood Welfare in the Tyneside Amatuer League.
In-form David Hodgson bagged a brace and was joined on the scoresheet by Stephen Salter and Paul Mulhearn as Bohs moved up to fourth in the table with games in hands on the top three.
Third-placed Forest Hall YPC moved to within a point of Stobswood with a 5-0 success at Newcastle Medicals. Andy McBride netted a hat-trick, with the other goals coming from Michael Embleton and James Milner.
West Jesmond won at Newcastle East End by the odd goal in seven to remain unbeaten in the league. Stephen Callaghan, Mark Emmerson, Gary Wilkinson and Edwards Shanks scored for Jesmond, with Lee Monaghan and Liam Chilvers (2) scoring for East End.
Blyth Town Reserves returned to winning ways, beating Wardley by the same scoreline. Brandon Nadeem scored twice for Blyth, with Joe McDonnell and Sam Watts also netting, whilst Ryan Taylor, Anthony Kew and Aaron Coote scored for Wardley.
Ponteland United Reserves went nap against Lindisfarne Custom Planet Reserves, who countered twice themselves. Daniel Mupungu scored twice for Kennie Malia’s Pont, with Cameron Robb, Darren Parkes and Sean McDonald also scoring for them.
North Shields Athletic Reserves and Ryton and Crawcrook Albion Reserves played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. Leeroy Odd added another two to his tally and was joined on the scoresheet by Maksims Zaborovs. Michael Robinson, Matty Fothergill and Michael Lowdon earned Ryton a point.
Hazlerigg Victory’s game with Bedlington Juniors was postponed.
