No festive blues for Labour as they win

A POSTPONED game and the Christmas break did not do Tyneside Sunday League leaders Wallsend Labour any harm as they started the new year in style, continuing their unbeaten run with another convincing win.

Michael Scatchard grabbed himself a hat-trick, taking his total to 14 goals for the season, as they won at Peregrine 6-0

Scatchard also received the man of the match award, his third so far.

New signing Phil McCoy scored twice and long-serving player Andrew Giles managed to net his first goal of the season.
