ALAN Pardew’s adamant he can cope with the pressure he’s under at Newcastle United.
Bookmakers have chalked up Pardew has the second-favourite in the Premier League’s managerial sack race.
Newcastle take on Cardiff City tomorrow looking to avoid a third successive top-flight defeat.
United’s first-half performance in Monday night’s 3-2 defeat to Everton led to calls from some fans for Pardew to be dismissed.
Asked if he feels permanently under pressure, Pardew said: “Most Premier League managers are.
“I was with (Aston Villa manager) Paul Lambert, and he was saying after their three defeats, everyone was giving them a lot of trouble.
“The social media as well makes it so much more difficult with all sorts of stuff being put on there, so there’s more pressure.
“But you just have to cope with it – it’s as simple as that.
“You have good days and you have bad days.
“I have been here three years and it’s a tough job, but I enjoy it.
“It’s not been our greatest week, but the club we are, we can win 3-0 at Cardiff and everybody will say we’re going to win the league, so you just have to go with it.”
