Northen League suspension
With the Coronavirus pandemic sweeping the country, the Northern League has suspended all games to April 3.
This is in line with the English Premiership and EFL who initiated the ban last week.
The lockdown meant no games at the weekend for either Whitley Bay or North Shields.
North Shields said on their website: “Whilst disappointed, we understand that sometimes there are more important things than football.”
Whitley Bay said: “We will keep everyone informed of developments.”
The League said: “We will take on board both government and FA advice and will issue updates as and when received. Fixtures will resume when it is felt safe to do so.”
