Odd puts five past Medicals in North Shields Athletic win

Leeroy Odd continued his goalscoring form as he smashed five past Newcastle Medicals on Saturday for his North Shields Athletic side, with their other goals coming from Maksims Zaborovs and Bradley Smith.

Medicals netted three times in reply through a Ross Brown double and an own goal.

West Jesmond remain unbeaten going into the festive break after a 2-1 win at Ponteland United Reserves. Dougie Cranston and Stuart Davidson were on target for Jesmond, who have five wins and five draws in their ten league games to date. Craig Shipley scored the sole counter for Ponteland.

Hazlerigg Victory won yet again to maintain their seven-point advantage at the top. Their 8-0 win at Wardley was secured courtesy of four goals from man of the moment Dale Pearson, sole strikes from Alex Patterson, Richard Coulson and Sean McRoberts, and an own goal.

Stobswood Welfare maintained the gap by virtue of a single goal success at Newcastle East End, with Jacob Baker their man on target.

Brandon Nadeem netted for Blyth Town Reserves as they held Gosforth Bohemian Reserves to a 1-1 draw.

The remaining two fixtures were postponed, with the league now taking a short break before returning to action on January 3.
